RiteAid, My New Friend (at least for now)

Have I mentioned before that I get tired of couponing at drug stores? (Yes, I'm sure that I have.) Dealing with coupons at one store (Publix) and getting deals at another (Aldi) is most often times my limit for the week. But I have to acknowledge that grocery store deals for toiletries just can't compete with drugstores. Earlier this year, I was regularly shopping at CVS and in no time at all we had an ample supply of toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and deodorant that I had spent very little on. And so, with a good supply in the closet, I stopped.

This week we have been squeezing out the dregs of the last tube of toothpaste, Aaron was out of body wash, and we only had one squirt of some less than desirable Aldi face wash. So I bit the bullet this week and headed to a drug store. I chose Rite Aid since they are just across the street and had lots of the items we needed on sale. And about $10 later, I wasn't disappointed and walked out with all that is pictured below. Perhaps it revitalized me to continue with the drug store deals a bit, at least until we have a decent supply again.

What about you, do you coupon at multiple stores? What is your favorite drugstore?

For a while, I was doing CVS every week and sometimes Rite-Aid. They really do have some great deals once you get your ExtraCare Bucks and the Up+ Rewards going. I, too, was able to stock up on a ton of nice brand name toiletries but then I stopped because we had so many.

Is that hair dye I am seeing hiding behind the Olay? Do you have plans for that soon? :)

I almost said something about the hair dye and then didn't :) Thought I would see if it was noticed. No plans to use it...it was part of the deal I did and helped me to get the stuff I really needed for less. Maybe I will be daring on day!!

Those deals were amazing!!! I laughed when I saw the little Reeses! I'm sort of baffled at Walgreens -- NEVER have the items in stock and the ECBs never match with the online blogs. BUT, I get some great toiletry deals at Target and the Commissary sometimes.

I'm doing good to e-coupon at Kroger. I tried CVS for a while but it stressed me out. But, you're right, toiletries are never marked down enough at the grocery store.
