Iowa!

We enjoyed our recent trip to Iowa so much! The time spent with Aaron's grandparents was wonderful. They are so much fun!

We enjoyed playing lots of cards with them:

We ate lots of good food, including Grammy's AMAZING rhubarb pie:

We also enjoyed spending time outside in the cooler weather.

My long list accompanied us to the Amish store and we filled our trunk with cheap bulk food.

We explored some of my most favorite antique stores ever, the Pink Begonia and Sisters!

We picked fresh green beans in the garden and then cooked and ate them of course.

We roasted wieners

and then picnicked under the tree.

Can you tell we had a great time?!

Wow, we played Up the Rive Down a million times it seams. Normally, I run from such marathon game sessions, but I had a great time. I beat Susu only once.

What you can't see in the wiener roast picture is the mosquitos. Standing in the path of the smoke kept them at bay.

We had a blast.

This makes me want to cry!!! I had such a fun time too, the weather was gorgeous. What all did you get at String Town? I got two lbs of white chocolate chips, poppy seeds and onion flakes. OH, and dry roasted & salted peas! Yummy and cheeeeap!

Wonderful candid shots capturing how it really is! I love summer in Iowa! I never have enough time when I visit - or enough money or space in the car on the way home! We are so glad that you spent time with the grandparents, they really loved it!
